Seasonal and Event Items in s&box, From Santa to Halloween
Every s&box event set so far, from Christmas 2024 to Halloween 2026, with store windows, real Steam sale prices and why the older sets trade so much higher.
Halloween 2026 is in the s&box store right now, which makes this a good moment to look back at every holiday set Facepunch has sold so far. There have been eight, starting with a Santa outfit in late 2024. Their market histories tell one of the clearest stories in the s&box economy: when a set was sold matters far more than what it looks like.
What makes an item an "event" item
sboxskin.gg tags 25 items with a seasonal event and year, across eight events. Most are credited to Facepunch, and the earliest sets carry no creator credit at all. They share two traits: almost every piece has the year in its name, and each was sold only during a window around the holiday. When the window closed, the Steam Market became the only source.
Some themed items aren't tagged as events. The Wizard set sold in August 2025 is one. So is the batch of spooky community items in the store since October 5, 2026, including the Zombie Head, Smile and Rooster Mask. This post sticks to the tagged sets.
Every set so far
The table shows each event's store window (from the dates sboxskin.gg records), its most valuable piece by average Steam sale price over the 30 days to October 13, 2026, and how many copies of the set were listed on Steam as of October 14, 2026.
| Event | On sale | Items | Priciest piece (30-day average sale) | Steam listings across the set |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Christmas 2024 | Late Nov 2024 to Jan 1, 2025 | 3 | Santa 2024 Jacket, $21.20 | 57 |
| Valentine's Day 2025 | Feb 14–28, 2025 | 3 | Valentines Bear Head 2025, $11.54 | 32 |
| Easter 2025 | Late April 2025 | 3 | Easter Dungarees 2025, $8.07 | 48 |
| Halloween 2025 | Oct 24 to Nov 7, 2025 | 3 | Pumpkin Head 2025, $10.16 | 80 |
| Christmas 2025 | Dec 12, 2025 to Jan 1, 2026 | 3 | Reindeer Head 2025, $6.69 | 130 |
| Lunar New Year 2026 | Feb 7–24, 2026 | 4 | Lunar Mask 2026, $2.86 | 297 |
| Easter 2026 | Mar 30 to Apr 13, 2026 | 2 | Easter Bunny Hat 2026, $0.38 | 1,076 |
| Halloween 2026 | From Oct 10, 2026 | 4 | Still in the store | 0 |
Read top to bottom, the broad pattern is plain. Later sets were sold to larger audiences, and as a rule they have more copies listed and lower prices.
Why the older sets trade higher
Fewer buyers, fewer copies
Christmas 2024 and Valentine's Day 2025 were sold while s&box was still in developer preview, long before the April 28, 2026 Steam release. The audience was a fraction of today's, so few copies exist. That shows in the market. The whole Christmas 2024 set had 57 Steam listings, while the Easter Bunny Hat 2026 alone had 672.
The pre-launch rush
Facepunch's own finance page shows how much store spending grew before launch: item sales of $483.6k in March 2026 and about $1.3M in April. The Easter 2026 set sold right in that surge, at $10.00 for the hat. Its 30-day average Steam sale was $0.38. The Lunar New Year 2026 set, sold about six weeks earlier, sits in between.
Which piece holds up
Within most sets, the head piece holds up best: the Pumpkin Head, the bear head, the Reindeer Head, the Lunar Mask. Trousers and shoes tend to trail. Christmas 2024 and Easter 2025 are the exceptions, led by the Santa jacket and the Easter Dungarees.
Asks vs sales: a warning
Event items show some of the biggest gaps in s&box between the cheapest listing and what buyers actually pay. As of October 14, 2026:
- The Santa 2024 Jacket had a lowest ask of $59.91, but its 30-day average sale was $21.20.
- The Santa 2024 Hat was listed from $57.50 against a $18.87 average sale.
- The Halloween Hoodie 2025 was listed from $48.00, but it averaged $5.17 over 20 sales, close to its $5.00 store price.
Those asks pushed several event items onto sboxskin.gg's weekly gainers list. A rise in the lowest ask isn't a rise in what the item sells for. With 13 to 18 listings per item, one seller pulling a cheap listing can move the headline price a long way. Use sale history, not the ask, to judge these items.
Halloween 2026: what's on sale now
Three Facepunch pieces went into the store on October 10, 2026: the Halloween 2026 Bucket Hat, the Halloween 2026 Slippers and the Halloween 2026 Onesie. Facepunch's Skin Metrics page shows the onesie at $8.00 and on sale until November 7. A fourth event-tagged item, Joyjoy's Bracelet Halloween, is scheduled for the community batch running from October 19 to November 2.
None of them had a Steam listing yet as of October 14, 2026. Their market prices will form after people start reselling them. Two things suggest they'll behave more like Easter 2026 than Christmas 2024. The windows are long (four weeks for the Facepunch pieces), and the game now has a public player base rather than a preview audience. That's an inference from the pattern above, not a forecast. Store spending has also fallen a long way since spring. Facepunch's finance page shows $48k in item sales for September 2026, so the buying audience is smaller than it was at the Easter 2026 peak.
Is a Christmas 2026 set coming?
There were Christmas sets in both 2024 and 2025, so one in 2026 would fit the pattern. Facepunch hadn't announced anything that we could find as of October 14, 2026. Avoid buying older Christmas items on the assumption that a new set will lift them. When the Reindeer set came out in December 2025, the Santa 2024 Jacket's average sale price dipped slightly, from about $47 in November to about $43.
How to approach event items
- Older isn't automatically better. Christmas 2024 trades higher because it's scarce, not because it's old. Check listing counts.
- Judge by sales. Thin listings make asks unreliable. Look at 30-day sales before buying.
- Don't expect the current set to rise after its window. The Halloween Hoodie 2025 now trades around its $5.00 store price, and the Easter Bunny Hat 2026 far below its $10.00. Large windows have tended to produce lower resale prices.
- Track the movers. The trending page shows which event pieces are moving. Check whether the move came from sales or from a single listing.
Holiday sets are the closest thing s&box has to a collectible series. The scarce ones are the early sets, sold before most of today's players had the game.
